Have a question about Etappe or found a bug? Write to support@etappeapp.com. This page answers the most common questions: how to connect Apple Health, change reminders and language, export or delete your data, and which devices Etappe supports.

Common questions about the app
How much does Etappe cost?
Nothing. Etappe is free, with no account, no ads and no subscription. The app is coming soon to the App Store.
Which devices does Etappe run on?
Etappe is an iPhone app and needs iOS 26 or later. There is no Android version.
Where is my data?
Only on your iPhone. Etappe has no server and no account, so we cannot see your data. Read more in the privacy policy.
How do I connect Apple Health?
During setup Etappe asks once for permission to read Apple Health. Etappe reads workouts and walks, including those from Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura or Strava, and writes nothing to Apple Health. To change the permission later, open the Health app and go to the apps in your profile, or use the privacy section of the iOS settings.
How do I change reminders?
You set the reminder time in the app. To turn notifications off completely, go to the iOS settings, Notifications, Etappe.
How do I change the language?
On the Goal tab, tap the gear and then Language. Etappe is available in twelve languages and the change applies straight away.
How do I export my data?
On the Goal tab, tap the gear and then Data and export. Export everything saves all your walks and settings as a file that you can share through the share sheet.
How do I delete my data?
Under Data and export you will find Delete all data. If you remove the app from your iPhone, iOS deletes its data too.
Is Etappe run by the Vierdaagse organiser?
No. Etappe is an independent app. It is not the official app of the Vierdaagse and is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by Stichting DE 4DAAGSE, the organiser. For registration, entry tickets and live information, see 4daagse.nl.
